Change Mobility in Conjugated Polymer Molecules

چکیده
The use of conjugated polymers as active media in organic semiconductor devices demands a deep knowledge of the electronic processes involved at molecular level. Here we report the results obtained from self-consistent molecular dynamics calculations at the CNDO (Complete Neglect of Differential Overlap) level concerning intra-chain charge mobility for two well known polymers: polydiacetylene (PDA) and poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV). * Corresponding Author: Tel:+351 253 604062; Fax:+351 253 678 981; E-mail: [email protected]

Conjugated Polymer Photovoltaic Materials with Broad Absorption Band and High Charge Carrier Mobility
Polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted great attention in recent years because of their advantages of easy fabrication, low cost, light weight, and potential for flexible devices. However, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the PSCs needs to be improved for future commercial applications. Factors limiting the PCE of the PSCs include the low exploitation of sunlight due to the narrow ab...

Bottom-gate bottom-contact organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) were prepared with four novel star-shaped conjugated molecules containing a fused thieno[3,2-b]thiophene moiety incorporated either in the core and/or at the periphery of the molecular framework. The molecules were soluble in CS₂, allowing for solution-processing techniques to be employed. OTFTs with different channel geometries w...
متن کاملBrownian dynamics simulations of charge mobility on conjugated polymers in solution.
A model is developed for the mobility of a charge carrier along a conjugated polymer dissolved in solution, as measured by time-resolved microwave conductivity. Each unit cell of the polymer is assigned a torsional degree of freedom, with Brownian dynamics used to include the effects of solvent on the torsions. The barrier to torsional motion is substantially enhanced in the vicinity of the cha...
متن کاملBand edge modulated conjugated polymers for oxidation prevention.
The impact of electron transfer (ET) from a series of band edge modulated polymers to atmospheric oxygen is examined in connection with substrate oxidation prevention. Polymers with the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level below and above the oxygen energy level were tested and the former showed better efficiency. Furthermore, the oxidation prevention efficiency of a polymer w...
